To start off with, we researched into 6 different magazine companies. These were:
Conde'
EMAP
National Magazines
BBC Worldwide

Future and;
IPC
We researched background information about all the companies. Such as when they were launched, what magazines they produced, where they are based and other general facts about them. We did this by using the internet. Each pair in the class were given one of the magazine companies to research and then we all got back together and shared what we found out. We then, individually, wrote notes on all the magazine companies so that we all had them.
The purpose of researching these magazine companies was so that I could see the existing magazine companies that are out there and see what different factors influence the production of the magazine. This helped me in producing my magazine because I could use other companies magazines as a guide to producing my own.
I think my genre of magazine would best fit into the magazine company called "Future". This is because they produce games, films and music magazines, and mine is a music magazine.
